Proposals for the 7th International Conference of the Center for Culturally Responsive Evaluation and Assessment (CREA) with the theme, “Evaluation and Assessment as Healing: Toward Culture-Based Paradigms of Care” are now invited. The conference will be held October 3-6, 2023 in Chicago, IL.
Submissions focusing on program evaluation, measurement, and assessment in the following areas: a) indigenous and minoritized populations, b) educational and psychological assessment, c) environmental and land policies and practices, d) public health policies and practices, e) civic engagement, and f) philanthropy are invited. Submissions are due January 17th with full details in the Call for Papers.
CREA is based in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a global and indigenous representation of affiliate faculty and researchers. CREA is an inclusive and diverse community that explicitly seeks to provide a platform for individuals, organizations, and communities to reflect on, engage with, and discuss ideas and experiences that draw on their lived realities–whether these be personal or professional. This year’s theme resonates across a wide range of cultural, community, scholar, and practitioner contexts.
