Practice-Based Teacher Education: Expanding the Knowledge Base
Guest Editors:

Stephanie Moody (Towson University)
Better-prepared teachers are a crucial element in achieving educational equity and justice. One proposed and expanding path towards these ends is the movement towards practice-based teacher education, which includes the use of representations, rehearsals, simulations, and other approximations of practice within coursework. This special issue aims to further develop the knowledge base on these approaches, particularly pieces that focus on innovations, impacts, critiques, and findings related to practice-based pedagogies. To facilitate this, the editors are seeking submissions to the Midwest Journal of Education, an open-access journal with expedited review times and an expanded word limit for this special issue.
