Vision

Judy Norris’s original vision for QualPage was that it be a dynamic artifact of a knowledge-building community. Through the miracle of the Internet, she wanted others to enjoy unprecedented access to one another’s scholarship and expertise. Bereiter and Scardamalia (1993) wrote about the idea of utopian knowledge-building communities where members share their knowledge and sustain the development of expertise within communities of experience. This was her vision for QualPage.

Dr. Kathy Roulston, who now maintains the website, hopes to continue the tradition maintained by Judy Norris and Judith Preissle. See History.

Dr. Kathy Roulston is a professor in the Qualitative Research program in the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration and Policy at the University of Georgia, Athens, GA, USA. She teaches qualitative research methods and written on qualitative interviewing and teaching qualitative research methods.
