Autoethnography symposium

You’re invited to an autoethnography symposium hosted by Minnesota State University, Mankato on November 18 from 3-4:30pm (US Central) via Zoom!

This event will showcase the work of emerging autoethnographers who completed MSU, Mankato’s summer certificate course in autoethnography. Each presenter will share from their ongoing autoethnographic work and/or reflect on their autoethnographic journey.

Presenters will include:

  *   Therese Ferguson, Ph.D. (The University of West Indies, Mona Campus)

  *   Tammy Neiman, Ph.D., RN (Minnesota State University, Mankato)

  *   Chin-Sook Pak, Ph.D. (Ball State University)

  *   Salomón A. Rodezno (Michigan State University)

  *   Diana Rule (University of Canberra, Australia)

  *   Davinia Thornley (Corvinus University of Budapest)

The symposium is open to all, and we especially welcome those who are curious, dabbling, or just starting out with autoethnography. There will also be opportunities for audience members to share insights, ask questions, and engage in conversation. During the course, we discovered how powerful it is to spend time with others who value vulnerable, reflective storytelling in scholarship, and we wanted to create more of that space, where we can connect, learn from, and support one another.
